every once in a while you just gotta go “This Reality Is Not Acceptable” and put yourself all in on one cause and not let up on it until it is done, to make sure at least one fact of that unacceptable reality, changes. at least one more tragedy avoided.
that is what i have chosen to do here.
i’ll admit i’m not especially good at drawing more realistic portraits/people, but i took a crack at it for this. in the back of mind, is the thought: i want to be able to draw a proper family portrait for them a year from now, if they’d like one, and have nobody suddenly be missing from it.
donate, boost, share the GFM yourself on any platforms you may have/on websites i’m not on, in your community servers, anywhere sympathy and action can be found. please.
as of this reblog, another good chunk of progress has been made! we still have a bit of a ways to go, but just look what we can do when all boost, share, and chip in what we can together! every little bit helps, so let’s get that last third in, tumblr!
some people have lamented only being able to “just” boost/share, vs donate, but that’s still good! that’s still help! you still get more eyes on it, and then people who can donate can even know the GFM exists, and can do so! any bit of help, is help, and i extend gratitude to you all. think we can get it done? i think we can get it done!

More than 60% of the world’s cobalt reserves are found in Congo, used in the production of smartphones.
Western countries are providing financial military aid to invade regions filled with reserves and in the process millions are getting killed and millions homeless.
Multinational mining companies are enslaving people especially children to mine.
